
Breathwork has not just helped me.
It has changed my life massively for the better. Forever.
And this is why I decided to become a Breathwork teacher.
There are lots of benefits of doing Breathwork exercises – physically and mentally.
Over the coming weeks and months, I will talk about these benefits relating to specific areas of our lives.
It is a deep subject.
The main benefit that I am interested in talking about is improved mental health.
Breathwork can:
- Reduce stress and anxiety levels
- Lower resting heart rate
- Increase your feeling of calmness and relaxation
- Improve sleep
- Increase energy levels
- Relieve some physical pain
These above are just physical benefits. I haven’t even begun to talk about the spiritual and emotional changes I have observed.
WANAP is all about healing and improving mental health – and these are both greatly assisted by Breathwork.
Breathwork can be used to get rid of emotional blocks.
The Body Keeps the Score
This is a book by Bessel van der Kolk.
I would recommend reading it to everyone interested in healing.
In it we learn that from all of our life experiences – good and bad – the emotions get stored in our body.
This means that we carry around, every single day, the weight of all our traumas and rejections.
Without even knowing it.
These emotional blocks actually: prevent us from achieving our goals, negatively impact our health and don’t let us live happy and stable lives.
Breathwork gives us a tool to get rid of this emotional baggage.
I speak from experience. It has been one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done.
Sometimes I wish “why didn’t I discover it sooner?”
It is called “Trauma Release” and as I said at the start of this article – it is life changing stuff.
Breathwork is POWERFUL
I have become quite obsessed with learning the science behind how magic breathwork is
(hence why I became a Breathwork teacher)
There are numerous academic studies that have been conducted (and are ongoing) that keep pointing out how beneficial breathwork really is.
It’s my intention to share this knowledge with the WANAP community.
